SPIDERS

Spiders

Australia is home to a vast selection of spiders that come in a variety of shapes, sizes and colours, many of which happen to be the most venomous in the world. Records have shown no deaths from spider bites in Australia since 1901, until recently, when in 2016 a man died from a redback spider bite. Some spider bites can cause serious effects and will need first aid and in some cases emergency hospital treatment.

INTERESTING FACT: There are more than 2000 recorded redback spider bites in Australia every year

2. Keep your outdoor lights off.
3. Remove vegetation away from the perimeter of your house.
4. Keep a tidy house.
5. Weather strips under doors.

Implications and our treatments
Spiders can be a serious health hazard around the home and a health and safety issue in the workplace. Inland Pest Management offer a safe and effective service which gives rapid relief from spider infestation.
In a typical service to a home we will treat the exterior of the house, the interior behind furniture, around doors and window frames, along skirtings and cornice, and other areas where spiders may nest. We will also treat any roof voids as these are a major spider breeding area. Also included would be any out buildings such as a garage or garden shed and yard fencing.
